Plugging in other HDMI devices, such as a Fire TV stick, PlayStation, and a soundbar, was easy because the HDMI sockets are located sideways on the TV. All you need to do is follow the on-screen instructions, and the setup is completed within 5 minutes. The back of the TV has small indicator marks showing where the stand’s pegs need to go, which made lifting the TV onto the stand a breeze.
If you push it too far it can be frustrating. @Turribeach The other thing to note is that not all channels on Q are available on Stream (or Glass), so make sure you’re not losing a channel you watch if you’re considering upgrading. It randomly freezes, saying loading on live tv, randomly freezes and exits out of apps like 4OD and Netflix. I’ve started using the apps built into the TV because I’m sick of it. The only problem with that idea is that I don’t get why UKTV would be trying to discourage people from watching on satellite. Actually disappointed the Pride channels aren’t lasting all of June, or even maybe a bit longer than a few days.

The TV was very well packaged using as minimal packaging as possible. All the packaging is made of cardboard and is recyclable, which helps promote the Glass’s credentials as an environmentally friendly TV. When the top of the box is opened, clear instructions are provided to remove the TV stand pegs, the plug, and the remote from the top sections before opening the tab that grants access to the TV. If they didn’t want customers to obtain the number why is it easily accessible on the link provided above.

Connecting my soundbar was easy thanks to the eARC HDMI 2 port. When the soundbar is turned on or off, the audio output automatically switches between the internal speakers and the soundbar. The provided instructions serve as a good guide for mounting the TV on the stand and setting up the remote control. One thing to note is that the TV may not be easy for everyone to lift out of the box, despite the Sky Glass Air’s weight being about a third of the Sky Glass Gen 2 TV’s weight. One improvement that could be made is to have an ergonomically designed groove or recess in the back of the TV. This would allow for a better grip on the TV when removing it from the box and mounting it on the stand.
If you have this problem, raise a complaint.. If everyone who has this problem does, then perhaps Sky will do something. I don’t understand why Sky cannot fix this problem as it’s so easy to reproduce.

You are proabably aware, but always worth mentioning.The puck much like a Sky Q box can for some customers suffer from interference in a number of ways at times. Generally, I like the home screen of Sky OS, with its relatively snappy navigation; it does a good job of recommending content you may be interested in, particularly as it starts to learn your viewing habits. There are endless hours of content to choose from. Others may give you more detailed reply’s but a good strong internet connection is vital.
It also eliminates a dodgy Ethernet cable or malfunctioning switch as the cause of your issues …… Anyone else have constant probelms with Sky Stream? I have 350mb broadband and the stream is hard wired.

( I’ve read a few forum lnks, same problem, though no apparent answer). Sky Go for Windows 11 is broken for me as well, since the latest app update. Exactly the same symptoms as the original poster, i.e. on-screen controls are ‘frozen’ in place and cannot be interacted with, do not obey window resizing etc. But BBC channels go to Full Screen correctly, and on-screen controls are active.
- @Turribeach Doesn’t matter who your broadband provider is.
- We can get the video playing but the the app will not let you go to full screen properly.
- The Ethernet port on the Stream puck is limited to 100Mbps but that’s more than enough.
- What are the major pitfalls with Sky Stream compared to Q?
- We get lots of calls every day, so your wait time will vary during busy periods.
- Yesterday’s game in Ireland was very entertaining.
I ended up having to go into the service menu and disabling it as it was so distracting. When using the built-in speakers, speech comes across crystal clear (perhaps helped by having the enhanced speech quality setting on). The built-in speakers are perfectly adequate for everyday TV use; however, big movie or music buffs may want to connect a soundbar for improved bass. I’ve tried the sound using the built-in speakers and connecting it to my existing soundbar.
I have tried removed Both these number are automated. I have a multi room box that will not connect. I have tried all the solutions on line and none work.

It would be good to know if Sky are looking at this issue, which appears to be affecting quite a few people. I have exactly the same issues as the original poster. We can get the video playing but the the app will not let you go to full screen properly. The volume control stays on screen about halfway up, you cannot change volume, and cannot shut it down very effectively. On Sky Q, free to air channels are part of Sky Essentials. Slow menus, hanging and crashing, reboots, TV guide slowdown. It will be Ethernet wired so no issues there. Also do I need to use Sky’s internet connection or can I use my own?
Once the marks were lined up with the pegs, the TV slotted on easily. I placed the stand on the floor and then lifted the TV onto it. I subsequently lifted the TV and the stand to put them on my TV cabinet. If you could post numbers on the forum, that would only encourage scammers to post scam numbers and I think everyone gets enough cold calls from scammers.
One thing to note is that, due to the stand being slim and providing no additional height to the TV, some people may have an issue placing their soundbar in front of the TV. This will purely depend on the size and shape of the soundbar. My soundbar fits perfectly in front of the TV, without obscuring the screen in any way when I sit down to watch. The delivery service was exceptional; within a couple of minutes of placing the order, I received a confirmation email with the delivery date and a link to track the progress via the AIT website. When clicking the link, it provides a host of additional upgrade options that can be added to the delivery schedule up to 5pm the day before delivery.
I didn’t upgrade the delivery; however, it’s nice to see the additional services (including unpacking the TV and placing it on the stand, wall mounting the TV, and recycling your old TV). I think that £15 to take away and recycle an old TV is great value for money for those who need it and can do without the hassle of finding a local vegas casino app recycling centre to take their old TV to. @molle22 You will find that similar to calling other large companies the start will be automated which may also try to send you here to the forum.
I have tried various compatibility settings for ARM and it they appear to make little difference. We have a new Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 computer, running Windows 11. When we try to use the Sky go app on the computer it does not work properly. Also rather than rely on third party websites for lists of included channels it’s usually best to rely on the information directly from Sky.
Stay on the line as long as possible and don’t hang up. If necessary say nothing when the automated system asks you what your call is about as it should then route your call into a queue for the next available agent. For all third-party apps available on Sky OS, you need to open and sign in to each app individually. This is a relatively simple process for most apps, as you can scan a QR code displayed on the screen and then sign in using your mobile device. However, this is an annoyance if you have Whole Home and have already logged into each app on a Sky Stream puck or another Sky Glass. Completing this process for the number of available apps was more time-consuming than initially installing and setting up the TV.
